FAQ

We do not prepare tax returns or give tax advice. We do compile and process 1099’s every January. We will provide tax-ready financial statements so your tax preparer can easily prepare your annual tax returns. If you do not have a tax preparer, we have several trusted partners we recommend and can work with directly to make filing your taxes a seamless transition.

We primarily use QuickBooks. That being said, we may be able to work with other systems depending on your preference and needs.

We can communicate with you in the ways you prefer, including phone, email, Teams, and web meetings.

Our accounting packages are customized to fit your specific needs, and you only pay for the services you need. Generally, the cost will vary depending on the number of transactions and the type of tasks we would perform.

I’m Ashlee, the accountant behind the name—and the idea that inspired it. After years of supporting businesses with their financial systems, I realized that my approach wasn’t just about balancing books. It was about helping owners feel confident, informed, and supported. That’s when the equation became clear: One accountant × elevated standards = Ashlies Squared Accounting. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting, from Montana State University Billings, where I built the foundation for the work I do today.

Beyond my practice, I’m committed to serving my community: I serve on the Montana Governor’s Committee on Telecommunications Access Services and volunteer with the Montana Youth Leadership Forum, helping high school students with disabilities build confidence, independence, and leadership skills. I live in Columbia Falls with my husband and our two cats, Merlot and Maggie. When I’m not squaring away books, you’ll find me camping, snowmobiling, chasing sunsets, or traveling—anything that lets me explore, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Montana and beyond.

I am Emily! I am an accounting assistant who is born and raised in Montana. I attended Liberty University. I have known Ashlee for over 20 years, and I am happy to work with her to support your accounting needs. I spend most of my time chasing a small child around, but I am grateful for the opportunity to work with numbers and help businesses grow. When I am not changing diapers, I love spending quality time with family and friends.
